The other students then ask follow-up questions to determine if the player is lying or telling the truth. After a few questions have been answered, the other students guess whether the player's answer is true or false, and the correct answer is revealed. The students who guessed correctly each score one point. When a player reaches the finish, the game ends and the points are added up. The player with the most points wins the game.

Causative Verb Dominoes

ESL Causative Verbs Game - Speaking: Matching, Forming Sentences from Prompts - Group Work - Intermediate (B1) - 25 minutes

In this creative causative verbs game, students make sentences with the causative verbs: get, have, make, let and help. The first player puts a domino down either before or after the domino on the table, pairing a causative verb with an action verb or vice versa. The player then makes a sentence using the two verbs and tells it to the other group members who judge the sentence, e.g. 'My friend got me to pay for his lunch'. If the sentence is grammatically correct and makes sense, the domino remains in place. If not, the player takes back the domino. Play then passes to the next student and so on. The first player to get rid of all their dominoes wins the game.
